That's strange because my x-trap files are not being picked up. Go to the crossfire directory, or you can: Right click the "CrossFire" launcher on the desktop>open file location

When you see the folder named: "XTrap" delete it, then download the XTrap folder. Place it in the current directory you removed it from and try again.

May I ask what operating system you are using?

I'll go get my Windows XP machine down from the loft and update it later. Just to determine its related to that OS or its just you.

Windows XP does have a lot of errors these days due to how outdated it is, try my solution anyway.

My guess is it's related to the OS, there's nothing that anyone can do apart from the people who work at x-trap. The issue will most likely be fixed as soon as a GM passed it on to the x-trap team.

Do you have any type of anti virus / malware scanner that could be corrupting the file " XtrapVA.dll" - I'm saying this because it has a false positive detection which is picked up. If so, please put an exception on the 'XTrap' folder in the CrossFire directory. This will also mean, re-extracting that .rar that you just downloaded.

But i think the stability etc. problems crossfire has momentary has nothing to do with this error
