Run CCleaner, Defragment your hardrive, download malwarebytes antimalware, run a full scan, uninstall any toolbars/addons/etc, and restart your pc.

gamebooster has an option to defragment your game and close background programs. Try that as well.

how long does defragging take...been going on like 10 mins now

In your antivirus, set it to ignore the Crossfire folder. Download the full client and reinstall.

Uninstall your expired antivirus and install "AVG Free 2014"...works fine with Crossfire and does a great job at protecting your computer.

No, vista (shuddup i know that could be worse but at least vista runs properly with CF unlike W8)

Im just uninstalled and reinstalled, im downloading the latest patch now, so ill see if that worked.
