KASPERSKY and CF

possibly a trojan was injected into the CF File, try disabling your AV, or reinstalling the game .
I've never got an issue like this
I retried adding it to the exceptions i get the notification but now it runs it. Never did it before though so it confuses me and I run my AV often making sure my laptop has no viruses or anything and it has never shown anything. The AV just updated maybe that's why? -

Try a computer scan, Trojans cant inject themselves in hidden areas, or re install.
Offtipic
I suggest using AVG -

XTrapVa.dll Kaspersky Problem
Same problem here.
Today i try to play CF and has giveme one error because Kaspersky blocked the update of XTRAP.
File: XTrapVa.dll
Cause: Malicious URL (URL Blocked)
URL: http://cfpatch.z8game.com/xtrap/A6016403/XTrapVa.dll
Virus: Trojan.Win32.Fibedol.cxh
Or this file is really infected, and the servers of crossfire want to infect ours pc, or is a false positive!
How to bypass this? -
me also facing this problem since yesterday till now and i cant even open crossfire , i have a zonealarm antivirus/antispyware , it deletes the virus directly because its status is high without waiting to ask me about my action and its trojan also as it shown above , so , whats the solution for it ??

if you have windows, you should uninstall your current antivirus and download the following
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
these are both free, provide excellent protection, rarely affect game files, and are low on resource consumption (such as ram and CPU).
games should run perfectly fine after. -

Open the program and go to settings on your top left side. when that window opens up go to advance settings (the box) and select threats and exclusions. It'll say exclusions on your left at the bottom click on settings then on add when the small window opens. It will say object select object click on it and another small window will open. Go to your hard drive (I have windows 8 so idk if it's the same this pc/OS/program files 86/z8games/crossfire) select the crossfire folder click ok and apply the changes it will add it to your exclusions and you should be able to run CF with no problem after you restart your pc. Hope that helps id not try this the layout that is shown there is not the same that Kaspersky uses now though.

Sorry but malwarebytes would dominate kaspersky even if its free. In case you didn't notice you can purchase the 'PRO' version but the free one is pretty much all you need. -

now tell me how would it dominate? I've had only one virus, since my subscription for almost 5 years. And guess what? It got rid of the nasty virus real quick. I never had malwarebytes, but Im not sure how this free version is better than Karsperksy. Im just wondering, no offense intended. -

Malwarebytes has better detection methods, and it more or less protects you against the more sophisticated viruses that some other anti virus programs could not find during their scans.
Malwarebytes is not an Anti Virus its more of a scanner, so its manual although it does block attacks/malcious files from being downloaded without you knowing/suspected compromised pages and many more automatically. Malwarebytes got me out of some nasty rootkits/ransomware you should try it out sometime, you don't have to uninstall your current AV.

You really don´t understand Antivirus solution!
Kaspersky is the best solution for Virus/Firewall/Mail/Payments...
Malwarebytes is just a scanner not a all in pack like kaspersky, in the last years Kaspersky won many awards, to find the nasty virus arround the world.
Malwarebytes at first has created to do a scan for malware, not for virus!
So malwarebytes its good to run once a month, but we have to have a good antivirus/firewall in our machine, like kaspersky.
