High ping spikes
Hello,
So I have been having a ping issue with the game that has crippled my ability to play for a while now. I have never had a serious problem like this before so I'd like you to try and assist me throughout this process. I have COMCAST blast internet with 50.0mbps and that should be quite decent for playing the game.
Throughout the past year and a half (when I moved to my current residence in Manassas, VA), I have never experienced a problem when playing in Alpha server (ping was stable around 50), but starting about a couple of months ago my ping was spiking up and down (up to 500 last time I checked).
I tried to resolve it myself by formatting the computer completely, re-downloaded the game and re-installed the client multiple times, throughout the process I have not used any antivirus in case it might be the problem. Later I contacted the cable company and had them replacing my modem because I cannot just forget about this game. But the problem remained as it is.
Now that I have done everything I could to solve this problem, I had to ask around if there's something I'm missing. I wanted to preorder the new M4A1 Iron Beast but I can't because I know that I wouldn't be able to use it with my ping being this ridiculous. Note that the problem is only with CrossFire, I have tried playing other games and they did not have any issues with the ping what so ever.

Hey potato.
I've actually been having this problem recently as well. I don't know if it's the server or the fact that I'm in Australia :P
Try cleaning your computer to see if that helps with the lag i.e. registry clean, disk defragment, etc (try googling some stuff).
I'm usually around 190 ping and recently been getting constant 230-260 ping.
It fluctuates all the time, but Idk if that's just because of Aussie peak and off-peak internet usage times. -

yeah I think so too. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next patch.
