would not having a genuine windows 7 affect the performance of wheel mouse optical and intellimouse 3.0?

those are the only 2 mice Im having issues with currently

the problem Im having relates to the mouse turning off randomly for a few seconds before turning itself back on, not acceleration

It only happens for these 2 mice, not any other ones that I have
