Stuck on "Loading all Textures"

Hello

I tried installing the game from a third party download, but i got this error and i thought it was due to the installer. I got the kit from a friends who installed it and it made it work and after i installed i started updating. It finished with the update i it showed the screen with the "Start game" button.

after i pressed start it started to load nGuard, then it went full screen, showing the halloween "wallpaper". Then it shows "Loading all Textures" on the lower right and it just sits there for 30+ minutes so far . . .

I must mentrion that i uninstalled my antivirus and the Win Antivir is offline. I have 1 GB ram and an Nvidia 7800 with 512 video ram.

Any ideeas ?

It happens to me, but I don't have to wait 30+ minutes :0 My comp just sucks. To much man pron D;

make sure, you got the newest graphic and directx drivers installed.
This issue normally happens, when there's not enough RAM (graphic Ram) available. Make sure, you got all processes closed, that you dont need. That should hopefully fix the issue

I'll update my drivers and my DirectX, just to be on the safe side. It shows "not responding" in task manager when i alt+ctrl9+del i, and my CP usage is at 75%, but i'll try anyway. Get back to you. If you have more ideas just let'em rip :")

erm.. do you have a firewall? If yes, ensure, that Crossfire and Gameguard got full access to the Internet.. Maybe thats the reason, why it gets stucked on the loading screen.
If not, im clueless.. :S

I left it running for 2 hours while i went for a walk and it finally loaded. It takes ****ing forever. So somewhere between 30 min and 120 mins it loaded. . .

Holy crap . . . and this is on a 7600 GT

It may be you have a virus or as people already said your grpahics arn't very good or have enough ram.

i know right?? fail on the kid to bump it.
anyways, uninstall, redownload from crossfire website, not 3rd party ppl.
maybe that will help
