Internet problems...

So, I've been spiking terribly lately. One second I have 30 ping, the next I have 600, and it's pretty much unplayable. I live in Chicago with Comcast Internet. The spiking happens all throughout the day, besides for very late at night. Pubbed at 2AM, had 22 ping the entire time. No one is on my internet/wifi, no phones/laptops connected. Any clue as to what I can do to fix this?

Hahahaha, I have somewhat similar problems.
Constantly spiking except early in the morning/late at nights.

more people are using the internet at those times making it more congested and making everyones internet slower. thats why some companies have bandwidth limitations for internet services.

well the first thing is check in other games if your ping spikes, if it does, it's on your end, so check with your equipment or provider

I heard a lot of people have problems with Comcast. Especially in League, but that's totally different. Try and change settings around with the modem. Also do you have programs open that could cause it?
