Trojan in cf

I scanned my computer and it shows that I have a trojan.hacker. I didn't have this until yesterday. When I jump to file location it says it came from CrossFire. HGWC to be exact. After I removed the trojan I tried to launch CF and it didn't work. So I reinstalled CF and scanned my computer again. I found this Trojan again. What should I do?

If you remove the trojan, you remove the file, making the game not run. The 'trojan' your AV found is a false positive. It thinks its a virus because of how it scans your computer for cheats.

Please tell us the Antivirus you are using, otherwise it's hard for us to suggest you a suitable solution for the problem you might have. I'm assuming you are using Malwarebytes since this problem has been occuring quite often in the last few days.

In order to fix your problem you have to put the whole CF folder (the folder where you have installed CrossFire) to the "Ignore List" or "Exceptions". Don't worry, there is no virus in the CF folder, the same happened to me. This should fix your problem, you are welcomed to bump this thread if you still have issues regarding your problem.

I had this one, I couldn't play crossfire for half a year because my scanner kept deleting the file. It didn't do that anymore after that.

HGWC Errors

Whenever I try to load CF i get HGWC does not execute and it closes. Looking for some help on this one because I've tried everything i can think of.
