My ping..

I left Cross Fire for about a week and uninstalled it when i left. Came back yesterday re-installed it only to find that my ping is a constant 70-75 at all times. Always had 23ish, 30 tops.. I live in Pennsylvania, so i have no idea what the problem is.. omgersh.

my ping always changes every patch

used to be 55-60, then it went to 100, now its 75

I get like 42MB down 20MB up and ping is 220

still fun to play but its at the stage where noobs with m16 beat me

About PING

The PING not depend from Speed of your ISP.

The PING are the number of (servers or hops) for connect.

Point A (Your PC and your IP) TO Point B (Servers Crossfire - IP)

For example:
1) Speed at 4 mb, but only pass 6 HOPS have a low PING.
2) Speed at 100 mb, but pass 16 HOPS have a high PING.

The ISP some times, automatic route with another, big provider: Cogento, Level3, etc...

For resolve issue, try with another ISP.
Crossfire update and change some times the server ubication.

Not is posible for Crossifre resolve this issue, for you.

For learn about this subject, google search:
tracert (dos command for trace servers from your IP to any IP from internet)
lag
ping
latency

For TEST speed not use servers close to your ubication.
Recommend: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Recommend use ETHERNET over WIFI for play any game.
