Cant connect to server

Hi when I try to connect to any server on crossfire, it will say " Connecting to server please wait. " and it stays like that for ever, i waited at least 10 minutes, still there. and the only way I could close crossfire is with tast manager..and I only started playing this game yesterday, well i didnt actually play cuz of that bug i cant connect to servers.
