Failed to execute HGWC

Hey peeps, I tried loging in today morning and when I launch the game this appears 'failed to execute HGWC' and it says that my malwarebyte detects as a thread therefore the launcher crash, any help will be greatly appriciated thx.

Add HGWC to your Exclusions on MalwareBytes.

If you mean to ignore list i did that and did not resolved the problem if not how can i add it to exclusions?

There should be an Exclusions tab when you start up MalwareBytes if I remember. I currently don't have it on this system so the UI may have changed. When adding to Exclusions, it shouldn't be scanning the process/program at all. It also depends on which version of MalwareBytes you have.

I have malwarebytes pro however it's an ignore list not an exclusion list now but even when I turn off malwarebytes it still says failed to execute HGWC.

You have to end the process itself through the task manager. If the error still appears, then something else is triggering MalwareBytes to run. Either add each individual .exe to the ignore list or resort to using a different protection program.

On my brother's computer same problem happens, but he doesn't use malwarebytes.

You have to put the whole CF folder to the ingore list, it should work then.

I added cf folder still same issue unless im not adding the right one. would anyone please list step by step on which exact folders to add to the ignore list?

I have this same problem right now, and I put the folder @ Computer/HP(C)/Program Files(x86)/Z8games/Crossfire in my ignore list on malwarebytes. I still try to open crossfire and gives me the same error message "Failed to execute HGWC". Is there anyone that actually knows how to fix this?

We Can not call it a fail but in the same time keep in mine viruses being released everyday and malewarebytes is trying to protect it's users.
