Earth is limited. Space is infinite(as far as we know). Besides we are from MURRICA' we like to expand. I'm more intrested in the depth of space than oceans anyways.

The sky is perfect from my back yard in some nights. I can even see the Milky Way as clear as an Internet pic. There is no sky like the one in Sweden
