Ping Change

I know there's various reason for my ping changing, but I just thought I'd ask anyway. My ping used to be around 40 in Alpha/Bravo/Charlie etc and only when I logged on today (wasn't on yesterday so potentially could have happened then too) my ping was around 115. I tried alpha and echo and my ping remains around 115 which is a little over 3x my normal connection speed. Nothing has changed with my internet connection in my home, so I'm wondering if its anything to do with the updates happening right now. I'd love ot know why, as its not very motivating to even come on the game when my ping is horrible and simple things like switching guns feels slow, let alone the bullet registry.
