My CF wont start at all

Is it the first time you try to play this game ? - or has it worked before ?
- only to know if your firewall/anti-virus settings are correct.

You can look in the event viewer of your OS - and look for the time when you try to start the game - maybe their is an entry with more information about the problem:
> Event Viewer > Windows logs > Application and/or System.

If it had worked before two things you can maybe try.
This:
1. Right click on the CF icon.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Click on the Compatibility tab.
4. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for".
5. Choose Windows XP (SP3)
6. -also check "Run this program as an administrator"
7. Click on Apply

Safe mode ? - you mean you start your OS in safe mode ?...btw which OS ?
I hope it´s not winXP...cause this has many unsolved problems with the game atm.

Anyway, in safe mode only the elementary system drivers and system processes are startet - so there must be something conflicting with CF that only starts in normal mode.

Some firewall or anti-virus software can´t start in safe mode and 3rd Party Software (-maybe some of them starts with windows/autostart)... main driver that not start in safe mode is the graphic card driver - windows runs only in VGA-mode...but there are more stuff, can´t say something about it without more information...
So deactivate your firewall+anti-virus temporary and test CF without them.
Also take a look at your graphic card driver and update if possible...

Again - you should start windows in normal mode and try to start CF, after that you should look in the Event Viewer - like i suggested before...and take a look at the entries for errors or warnings:
> Event Viewer > Windows logs > Application and/or System

Hopefully you can find some hints whats causing your problem....
