Problem while joining rooms

It''s been quite a while till i didn't play crossfire from the last time...
So today i wanted to play, i patched the game and then, once i was in, i tried to join a room, but every time i tried to do it (I did it many many times) i got an error (Client MFC application error), the game crashed and i couldn't play.
I didn''t download any programme from the last time i played so there's nothing that's interfering with CF.
I've tried also by restarting my PC (this worked for some problems i had in the past) but this time it didn't work...
How do you suggest to fix this problem?
