Crossfire Won't Start Compatibility Error??

I recently downloaded and installed Crossfire onto my Windows 7 computer but when I went to start it up it wouldn't even make it to the log in screen before it just exits out and does nothing. Sometimes it will even do a send error report. I've troubleshooted it and re-installed it over and over again and nothing seems to work. Any help?

Beside the common solutions (like firewall/anti-virus settings etc.) - look at the sticky threads - you can try to put the crossfire.exe to the exclusion list of DEP.

-also running CF in combatility windows XP mode had worked for some player

These solutions don´t work for everyone cause every PC and his OS is different belonging to the hardware and the software installed...
