Any tips for a beginner?

I really like this game, only problem is i suck at it! I just can't get the bullets to hit, when i have the crosshairs on them it just misses even from close range. It seems i spray a whole clip into them when they are in front of me, but i fo like 10 damage. So i was wondering if you had any aiming tips? How do i get the bullets to hit? how can i get more accurate? Should i aim at thier feet? Cause i noticed the bullets hit above the crosshair. Any tips are really appreciated!

Yes spray at a wall and you will notice the gun doesnt recoil much, but the bullets recoil far above your crosshair, get used to that and you will get better.

Also, at mid-long range never spray, Burst fire will keep you accurate. Only spray if you are at very short range.
