How about fixing the download bug?

I mean seriously, now restarting my pc isnt enough to get the game working. Reinstall does didly, and short of frying my registry theres nothing else that can be done.

So how bout it? Fix the download bug?

((btw, the error is when you start the game and get to the login screen a download window pops up for a file. Most XP users have this problem from what I hear.))

See this other post for wiping out all traces of Crossfire and GameGuard then reinstalling.

Works for pretty much all file errors etc after patching. Have to start clean.

Tried it.

I need to try and rip appart the file thats responsible for this and fix it myself.

and if they ban me for hacking by fixing THEIR bug, then so be it.

How about fixing the download bug?
