I get this problem all the time now i have no idea why is this happening, ive just clean formatted my computer lastnight whilst the servers were down for a maintenance thought i'd format an see if it solves the problem an just downloaded from the website. i don't have antivirus installed before downloading the game windows antivirus/security essentials was turned off also i have put the cf into exception folder why do i get this error can someone please help me thanks

I get these same messages. I have bee getting the 2nd message for more than a week now. The support ticket I filed with z8 itself is more than a week now. I guess its just great coders coding up new content. After all its a free game. So our options might be to either suck it up or move one.
Note: Crossfire was originally started on Korea. And the game servers on Korea were officially shut down as of July 2012, due to lack of players. Old ones have to die so new ones can come I guess... -

Right click on Crossfire go to Properties/Compatibility/Select Run this program mode for : Windows Server 2003 ( Service Pack 1 ) Make sure " Run this program as an administrator " selected, Click Apply!
Click on " Change Settings for all users " do the same thing ^.^ Apply][ Okay

I sent z8 detailed instructions including event viewer message and an error dump. And they replied with the below message. Only thing I am wondering is... Why did it take more than a week for replaying with such a message.
Can't expect more. If they were efficient, they would have configured it as an auto reply message. At least that way, it wont take that long to reply.
I replied back to them with your solution. Hope at least new tickets get a more specific "solution"

It works for awhile then same againIt worked twice. And for some unknown reason, now it stopped working
Man you know how many support tickets ive sent them i lost the count in 1 month
I tried everything every single thing about this issue
Formatted my pc : clean uninstalling/installation with antivirus off
I think this is something to do with DirectX 9 -
Just download the file I uploaded and put it into the Z8Games folder.

C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\shader
Just drop it in there.
It don't work i tried that many times i even deleted the whole shader folder nope still same -

Format your pc ( clean installation if you don't need some stuff ) You can try without formatting like delete MSE
After format : Get all the updates from Microsoft make sure you get .Netframe work updates as well
Do NOT DOWNLOAD Microsoft Security Essentials! Coz this what automatically deletes some crossfire folders during download/setup even if the Real Time Protection is turned off.

Hello Guys:
I have a BIG problem which i can´t resolve... Need help.
I´ve been playing CF on a Laptop for a while. I´ve now also installed it on a normal PC which has an AMD Phenom II X6, 1GB Video ATI, 4GB Ram AND WINDOWS XP SP3.
Every single time i start the game in the PC it crashes and comes back to the Desktop. I've tried different Resolutiones but nothing happened... 16 bit and 32bit algo, nothing happened...
Can someone help? I'm desperate...
