error InitRenderer(). Shutting down

hello, i recently got this error this morning and i have no clue how to fix it. i have no AV, i updated my video card drivers, and updated directx. any help would be appreciated.

basically, i click on the launcher, it patches, x trap loads up, and then i get a black screen followed by this error "Error in InitRenderer(). Shutting down"
