"Your client is invalid version"

Whenever I try to run CrossFire I get, "Your client is invalid version. Re-install the latest version game client."
I went on to the download on the CrossFire site and re-installed and now it's still like that. I've done that three times now, and I'm done doing that.

Help me.
Been without the game for 2 or 3 days now

All else fails uninstall, re-install.
that fails make sure flashplayer, adobe reader, and flash are all updated.
if those all dont help well you might need the help of a pro. I'm only starting school here for pc so I don't know quite enough about software to help just yet lol.

Quit saying the obvious stuff like, "uninstall then re-install". It's just a waste of time..

I had that problem when I installed CF right after I formatted my computer and installed CF from my old 1095 version installer. I just took my brother's Z8Games folder and put it into my Program Files folder and it worked.

I suggest you uninstall then delete the Z8Games folder and the Cross Fire folder in Documents; then download a new setup without ANY SECURITY software open. Disable Windows Defender, Windows Firewall, and everything else you have before downloading.

I know you said not to suggest this, but this should work...

Sniperhaha, I just had the same issue, along with the "dll" issue, tried uDream's "date removal" suggestion, it didn't work, so I did a total un-install & deletion of all Z8 & CrossFire game & folders, came here to CF's website, & did a whole new download of the game, (version 1107). I ran & installed it, let it do all of its updates, started the game up, & it finally worked for me. Everything is now back to normal. (just for ha ha's I even went into CF's folder under "Program Files" (after the total new install) & there was no "date" by any of the "dll names".) Good Luck! :-)
