Having problems starting the game after update
Okay, well I just finished the last update, including the x-trap one.
And when the game was loading, a message from x-trap suddenly appeared saying that they found an error and the window closed and now when I try to start the game another error appears saying:
"Cannot find 'MSVCP80.dll'. Please, re-install this application."
I don't quite understand what this means.
Someone please help.

It's weird because I've never had any problems with crossfire before and I've been a user for 2 years.[GM]Saidin wrote: »We're looking at the x-trap issue, though some of these problems were also caused by AVG.
I'm re-installing the game using the current downloader. (I had the older version)
Also, I don't think the problem was with AVG since it was x-trap who recognized the folder as a "virus". -
I've got the same message/error box about the dll being missing when truthfully, (after checking the CF files), it is still there. There is no need to re-download the game or re-install the game, or downloading another dll file & installing it. All ya need to do, like I have found out from the several years of experience I've been playing CrossFire, is.... just have patience & wait for awhile (go enjoy the outdoors for a change lol) then go back, fire up CF, & everything will be just fine, like it was before. Hang in there & chill for a few, my friends.... CF will fix it, themselves, eventually. :-)
