Version.ini error

I left the game months ago, and I'm back for a bit, and there's some issue with version.ini? I've spent hours trying to fix it, nothing works. Including the whole copy and paste texts you get online, it only gets removed after trying to start the game. Any help would be appreciated, I'm a 2nd Lieutenant with all kinds of good ****...
