Client File corruption error

Since 2 days ago, every time I try to launch CF, I get the following error

I've uninstalled everything I've added on my laptop since a few days ago (mainly updates of other softwares), re-downloaded and re-installed CF, re-installed CF from an old setup I still had (v1080) and none of these changed anything.

Open to any suggestions...

I remember having this too quite a while.. Im just not 100% sure what I did back then to solve this.
Anyways, you might try one of these:

If you still get the same error after turning off your antivirus, then that means it tried to clean some of Cross Fires files, so you must redownload it again from the Z8Games website with your antivirus turned OFF.

It might help to just update your graphic card drivers or reinstall them.

Already tried updating and reinstalling my video card drivers, gonna try disabling my anti-virus, although I don't think this would be it, because it never detected anything out of it before, even when I scanned my laptop, and it hasn't given me any file detection message.

I had this problem when I had a corrupt HD.
probably not the case since it's rare, but yeah the first thing I would check is your antivirus.

Well re-downloading and re-installing with my anti-virus disabled didn't work either...

Well, I hope getting the files from a way other than the setup will work.

It didn't work... I'll wait till the next patch, if it still doesn't solve it or if the patch comes in a long time, I might format my laptop.
