Even though the rest of the free world knew Windows 8 would be released 10/26, Wiselogic seemed to have no clue. The consumer and developer previews have been out nearly a year. Yet Xtrap still doesn't work with Win8. In fact, it will likely be a few months before it is supported.

I feel horribly for those who have upgraded (or worse yet, purchased a new PC) only to find they can't play CF. Downgrading to Win7, while certainly doable, is far too daunting a task for the normal user/gamer.

And fyi - This is not a Z8 issue guys...

Im not saying its their fault. I know its xtrap but how good is xtrap if they cant even keep up with current windows OS.

XTrap is fully compatible with Windows 8 Pre-releash; just wait till it works with Windows 8 official version.

I've been waiting for that too. since its official shouldnt they have come up with the windows 8 patch yet ;/

Windows 8 was in development for a long time, they could have prepared this sooner. Unfortunately thousands of players like me will not have access to the game until that is fixed. Let's wait and hope it will not take forever.

There wont be one.

I would go back to Windows 7 anyway... Windows 8 is horrible.

Ufff, I been Playing Crossfire on My Laptop because I had a problem with my PC Hardware After I changed my MB, Windows7 Mess My Machine, So After Upgrading to Windows 8 Pro everything works. Except Crossfire. There isn't any ETA about when will it be Supported for Win8 And it Sucks

Xtrap and Z8games

Z8Games,

Have you put pressure on xtrap producers to quickly come up with a windows 8 compatible version? You have supplied a product that relies on another program to work properly. This would leave it in your hands to either pressure xtrap to fix the issue or remove xtrap for another product that is compatible. If you are looking into either of these solutions... thank you. If not... why not?
