still not fixed?

Hello folks,
after reinstalling and downloading the game a couple of times, it is going on my nerfs... Everytime i get the error/HGWC error:

You cannot run this program directly.

I mean wtf ? Is there anything i can do. I just wanted to play after months again, but this error s*cks.

Are you runnin the cf.exe or the cf box.exe or w.e the second one is called

Maybe you can try skipping the cfbox and try running patcher_cf.exe? Just a thought

What are you running in the background? Close anything down you do not need.

Allow XTrap through your firewall.

If that fails, Delete the XTrap folder and launch the game again via cf_g4box.exe

:D i dont have any xtrap folder in my crossfire folder... I searched at my own and used the searching options. Btw i might have no firewall anymore. And in my background there is everything normal, like always ^^

You what? You have no XTrap folder?!

In C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire There is no XTrap folder at all?

yep, exactly! I reinstalled and redownloaded the game like 10 times, but there is always no xtrap folder !

Screenshot that for me please. There HAS to be one if you installed and ran the game.

What happens when you run cf_g4box.exe?

after i installed the game, i run cf gbox.exe.I press on start and there is a little download part, after this i get the error... put thanks for the answere, i will check the link u poseted ^^
