Patcher problems

So, I've had this problem before, but re-installing the game fixed it, but now it has come back. Basically, I start CF,and I run the game so the patcher can download the latest version. And here's the problem, the patcher gets stuck. It downloads the lastest patch for about 1-2 minutes and then simply stops randomly at some point. If, when this happens, I press X to close it, the patcher stops responding. This has been happening since june.. Anyone have any ideas? I tried unistalling again and re-installing but this time not even that is working.
