Etymology of the term "chammer"

Are you guys...not understanding this?
Cham is short of chameleon.
Chameleons change color.
Chams change the color of the player models. When the player is behind a wall, he is red. When he is green (and you can see him) he is exposed.
So, you can see through walls, and you see red models. So you wait until they are green and then you shoot. -
Anyone know where the term "chammer" started, or how it came to be? I ask because I've never heard the term outside of Crossfire, and might be interesting to know the origins of the word!
yee i agree with you.. the word is only used in games -
