hello, i would like someone that is good with computers to tell me..

is a.... Galaxy - NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GS 256MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card good for crossfire?

im so sick of my ping spikes, and as of now im using a nvidia geforce 5200, so thats what im thinking it is, ive made many threads about my lag problem and no straight answers were given. mod greycloak helped a bunch though.

so is the graphics card posted above good for crossfire? and does anyone know if it will stop my lag. im fine with everything else, its just my graphics card doesnt meet requirements.

Uhhhh...... Yeah its good if you want 30-40 fps on Max res....

The 7200 GS can play BF2142 on low settings so it will most defintely play CrossFire...not to mention it's two generations ahead of the 5200 and the low-end can only get better by generation...

well i play on the lowest resolution, all graphic options off, and i get about 45-50fps with the 5200, and still get ping spikes out the rump.

i just need to get rid of my lag spikes, its like fighting another enemy when im playing.

well, ive got a Geforce Go 7300 on my laptop and on medium settings, im getting anywhere from 30-60... depending on how many players are in the room. with 16 players its about 42-45.

but with my Geforce 285 GTX SLI i get about 200-250 FPS....

but a 7200 will get the job done in a game like crossfire.

^exactly what i like to hear.

now, does anyone know if that will help ping spikes? i live in pennsylvania, and my internet connection is actually rather fast. ping is around 42 then shoots up anywhere to 300ish+

im guessing thats my problem, seeing as how thats the only thing that doesnt meet req

Graphics cards have nothing to do with ping at all. They only effect the FPS (Frames per Second).

Make sure you arn't downloading anything and run a few virus scans.

thats the thing, i run game booster so nothing else gets in my way, and my anti virus scans everyday.
