MFC client error (NOT RESOLVED)

No, it has NOT been resolved. After 5 months (!!!!!, first post dates back to April!!!!) this issue has NOT been solved. This is a crying shame! When can we expect any concrete solution??? Every 5 (or so) games my computer TOTALLY freezes up and the only way to get out is a hard reboot. (And NO, not even CTRL-ALT-DELETE won't even work!) I HAVE tried all the so-called sollutions, like adding the game AND X-trap to my firewall and virusscanner but NO JOY....

Is there anyone in Z8 that has the brainpower to solve this. This is beyond annoying.

Might be something to do with your graphics card. Make sure it's updated and that no programs are blocking Crossfire.

Really?? That's the best you can come up with?? Tell me, please! How could my grapics card be the reason for my entire computer totally freezing up?? I HAVE updated to the latetest driver version and guess what??? NO JOY! Still experiencing the same lame MFC client error. Come on, people! There is got to be someone in your company with a better solution. Again: it has been over 6 months since the first report of this problem!

Maybe you can tell us how this error happens. Tell us how you start Crossfire. Whats your system information?

We can't really help you if you don't tell us more information.

Before I posted this question I (of course) checked the entire forum AND tried all the suggested sollutions (like addind CF & Xtrap to my AVG). I start CF the 'normal' way, with the normal startup tool, that opens like a sort of pop-up. My system is running XP Media Center Edition V2002 with SP3. As mentioned before I use AVG but have already entered both CF & Xtrap in the exclusion list.

BTW I found out that my system actually freezes up AFTER clicking ok on the pop-up that states the problem! And today I found out that if I move that pop-up out of sight (dragging it to one of the corners of the screen) I can play on. Still it very annoying. Funny enough when I went into the forum to check a different thread I commented on (http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=194788&page=2), I found the exact same post by another user!
