Connection has been delayed?

I quit CF for the last 2 years but now I wanted to play again... So I downloaded the client and logged in but when I try to join a game it will only load halfway and then disconnects with a message saying "connection has been delayed" then after that it returns me to the lobby. what should I do?

btw I've tried reinstalling the game and disabling my firewall already
