Getting file is changed error

So at first i am able to log in to the game. But when i try to join a match i got a message that says file is changed ./crossfire (something like that) This logs me of. When i try to log bag into crossfire i get the error w [2007]L[0] crossfire.exe I have reinstalled crossfire and this still happens. Can someone help. I can make a video if this doesnt make sense. I beleive something is make the crossfire.exe to change. Since it becomes a 42 file. The name changes to crossfire.exe_2012.08.25.01.47.42. I can upload the file that it becomes. Also now i tried to replace the crossfire.exe and the file changed to a 51 file. Seems like something in my computer is making it crossfire.exe change file

For me i re-download everything about crossfire(not including xfire) and it always work for me

Oops sorry about that, I accidently removed the file. I will upload the file again, here it is http://uploading.com/files/get/638mbab3/crossfire.exe make sure to put the file in the correct place (computer>c drive>program files>z8games>crossfire). Hope this helps

It worked for one match and then i got the error again. Can you give me your whole crossfire folder please. Whenever i try to download from the site it doesnt start. Whenever i try to download it from atomic gaming the files are corrupted. Please i am desperate

The crossfire file changes to some other file. To be exact the name changes to crossfire.exe_2012.08.25.01.47.42. It also stops being an application file and starts to be a 42 file

I recommend you take a look on how to do a clean install of the game (yes I know you may have tried this, but maybe you didn't see this post before):

This is to help trouble shoot conflicts with other programs and not a solution by itself, but it should let you know if any other program is the reason for the problem.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Game

The second most important thing to try with regards to loading errors in Cross Fire is to uninstall the game and reinstall from a new mirror.

To do this follow these steps:

- Control Panel -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Uninstall CrossFire
- Open Up My Computer
- Delete the CF directory (Program Files/Z8Games/CrossFire/)
- Delete the CF directory (<user>/Document/CrossFire/)
- Disable your anti virus
- Download the newest client from our downloads site
- Install the game from the new download
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection

Cross Fire does not contain viruses, however some anti virus scanners will modify game files as you install them. Make sure to disable your Anti-Virus during download and installation. You can add the folders to the exceptions later to re-enable your virus scanner.

As a secondary solution try changing the installation path directory.

And can you provide screenshots of these errors in question?
Prt Scn; paste it in Microsoft Paint; save it; upload it to a site like tinypic.com (use the 15 in upload size, 800 X 600; then copy and paste the IMG (forum board) to a new post here.
