horrible FPS Problems since the spain patch

Since the spain map patch, EVERY game i join, I get 10-30 fps. It NEVER goes higher than that. I set all my graphics to low, 800x600, my control panel I set everything to the lowest graphics, for performance. Counter strike source doesn't do this, nothing runs slow, except for crossfire? -.-
I didn't really care but like it's 400% exp weekend so I just want to play with atleast 35+ fps ._. if someone can help I appreciate it.

I saw a small improvement when i did this one thing in a thread I read a while back, compress all the sounds files in the Crossfire folders.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFires\rez\Snd2
or C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFires\rez\Snd2

Select all sound files > Right click > Properties > General Tab (if not chosen) > Advanced > Compress Contents to save disk space

That should help a small difference.

Do every folder in the directory I showed.

How would compressing sound help fps? I would expect that to hurt if anything because decompression is just one more thing for the game to have to do before it is output.

I just don't find it fair that I can't even play this 400% weekend -.- I mean i'm not the only one with these problems..

Reimaging would probably fix it

. I assume you've monitored the usage of each piece of hardware and know what each process is.

Which piece of hardware is the limiting factor? Use Windows(or a third party)'s monitoring tools to determine which is maxing out when this happens. Then, look at what that piece of hardware is doing at the time when it is maxed.
