Can't download CF!?

This morning I patched the game and run it. Worked just fine. A few hours later however, a quick (small, very small) update came and it gave me the known 'blabla shell' error. Seeing that, I decided to remove the game to redownload it. I can download the crossfire_downloader but when I open it, checked a location to download the game to, I get an error saying: Initializing Failed.
I have no clue what the cause of this problem may be. Hope one of you can help me out on this manner. Feel like playing!
