What's the matter?
I post it once more in hope that someone helps me. Well, I start the game everything loads, also the HGW and then nothing... The log-in window doesn't start. The weird thing is that I can't find the process of the cf client, tried also with process explorer. Tried to re-install it, to disativate Antivirus, tried to allow thw whole z8 folder in exceptions, still nothing.
Ah and I use Xp.

There are numerous threads here with people suggesting things.
We are trying to track the problem. It seems to be based on the individual computer and it's very difficult to track for us.
Have you tried running CC Cleaner? -
If you have installed any other s/w recently, this could happen. Its annoying when it happens. And I get it at least twice a week (I am on this forum reading replies to find the fix for this exact issue
).
Try this:
1. download msxml4.0 installer and reinstall it and restart the PC.
2. If it doesn't fix the problem then make a copy of the cross fire folder, download the new full installer, uninstall crossfire.
3. restart pc
4. re-install crossfire
5. restart
6. check if crossfire runs
7. If it doesn't, overwrite the install location with the copy you made. Select "Yes" to all overwrite warnings
8. Restart
9. See if crossfire runs
10. If it doesn't run, then find another game to play and tell me if its fun

Also... don't forget to turn off firewalls and anti virus programs when you install. Enable them only after you are able to successfully run it at least once. I know it sucks.
