Crossfire doesn't start

Guys i got a problem, my friend wanted to play crossfire, he downloaded and installed it but it doesn'r load. I mean after the HGW nothing happens. He got a Xp. It's weird cuz i played crossfire on my old pc which had also XP. I tried to delete all files and re-install it again but nothing seems to change. Any advice?
