X-Trap Patch Error

Whenever I try to start crossfire xtrap tells me that the patch server is unstable or the xtrap update wasn't able to run properly. It then closes down and whenever I try to play this message comes up again.

What I've already tried:
-Restarting my computer
-Running crossfire as administrator
-Re-installing crossfire
-Disabling all my security measures, firewall, and adding crossfire to the excluded programs

I'm running windows vista on a 32-bit computer. I'm using microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes. I've looked through these forums, but have not been able to find a solution to my problem. I would really appreciate it if anyone could direct me to the solution in these forums or tell me how to fix this. Thank you

  • hey hutgh i was having the same prob and I just solved it: I had installed in my pc a program to better my ping at Aion and even though i wasnt starting it, it started itself when i ran crossfire and interfered with it. I unnistal the program and now CF is working.

In short: check your processes and see if there isnt a program that may interfere with CF
