I'm able to load up CF but everytime I try to join a game it keeps saying File Not found (Legacy Shader)
Ummm and it shows me the "What's Hot/New" weapons but it's just a picture of an M4a1.
Could someone help me out, and this was right after the Dual D.E. were implemented in the game.

Hi People I have a serious problem with Crossfire, When I start my game, and i wanna join a room, when the game is trying to load up a error is comping up showing that i dont have shader. 'File not found''. Cannot open shader file\Shader\legacyshader.fxo.
I tried to reinstall game many times and i didn't help me. I also used programm CCleaner to clean all error... and i didnt help me too. What should I do?... I spend money on that game.. and i cant even play the game. -

I tried the re-install, and to no avail. -
There was a bit of talk about it here yesterday, and we've found that turning off xFire before starting CF fixes it.
I'm not sure it that is the same problem as this (It was also the file not found error), but if you have xFire on, you might want to try turning it off via exit, and then attempting to log on again. -

I reinstalled my CF with latest downloader in the site, and I still get error. I start CF first then Xfire, i get same error. Only way i can play CF is to not have Xfire on at all... "Legacy Shader is not found." "Send error report?" -

We've only ever seen problems of this particular type when associated with various hack files.
I'm not suggesting that you're hacking. However after searching up some information on this the only time this comes up is when a hack has caused problems with the game and subsequently caused this problem.
When you said you reinstalled the game, was it from the latest version? Did you make sure that your AV and Firewall didn't accidentally clean the download?
Run a virus check too before installing cross fire and make sure there are no traces of any malware or viruses on your pc.
XFire shouldn't affect the game, but if not running xfire is the solution for now that may be all we have to offer until we look into further details. -

It could very easily mean some sort of program conflict with the latest update of CF. We're not discounting that possibility, nor did I in my previous reply.
We're investigating the matter atm to cover all avenues. However since no one is likely going to admit they hacked, we have to cover our tracks here by saying that it could be related to it. -
Turning off xfire did work. Which kinda sucks cuz I use xfire all the time. Something changed in that little update with the Dual DE. It wasn't doing this two days ago when I last played.
Also, I just tried launching xfire after launching CF, and I still get the error. This is definitely has something to do with xfire. -

Okay, so I've had mumble on my computer for quite a while now, no issues until recently (I'd say approximately 2-3 days ago) where I'd enter a game with no VOIP programs on and I would still disconnect on a load screen. Look right, i don't hack nor do i even use Xfire or have it installed. But after this recent patch i cant play at all and the shaderlegacy.fxo is the issue.
I've uninstalled the client, ran anti virus/ran anti spyware, done disk clean up/defrag/redownloaded from the official CF download page and reinstalled twice now.
What do you propose i do now? -
I'm getting the issue without Xfire. I already contacted support and they said try relogging it should work now. I've been having this issue day in and day out. Crossfire Erros And Hackers
crossfire ta giving errors all the time, for example, someone on my side ta run and nothing goes into the wall, and when I go climbing in boxes is damage error!
I went today and also serves clan, clan played against two hackers and z8 or not GM decides that, until when will this be hackers ****ing bull****.
Face it and 'very annoying and it is not' so I claim that the majority agrees with me.
then it is to fix this, please. -
I'm getting this error randomly since last update. I dont use xfire. Any other solution suggestions. By the way i checked folder where the legacyshader.fxo file should be, the file is there, so how can we get this error when file exists in our system. Can anybody explain?
