Well, I have a temporary solution to this problem.
When you get the error after logging in, instead of pressing ok press the alt-tab key combination and go back to the game.
You should then press ok when it says the file isn't found and you should be in game but without any ranks and logos on guns.
Seems like it makes everything corrupt. -

i did that, most times, it worked, but this time, the game just shut down by itself, but the crossfire.exe and xtrap file still running in [Windows Task Manager => Processes]. It might work for you, but I guess it doesn't for some

I keep getting the same problem. Lol.
Well like some people said, I'll just wait and play a different game.I turned off xfire, then it worked. :l
You guys running windows 7? If anyone getting this error isn't using win7, please share. Think it might be win7 64. -

This^
I turned off xfire and CrossFire now works perfectly! problem solved for me
Anyone that is having this problem and has Xfire trying shutting it off while playing CF. It worked for me and Klutch, it should work for other people. -

wow figures rofl -
It could be a compatibility error with xfire now that i think about it..
thats it. I test this. I turn off xfire and then crossfire worked perfecftly. So i decided to turn xfire back on and see if the problem comes back......and sure enough it did come back.
So anyone having this problem make sure you shut off xfire and see if that fixes your problem.
if i go in a game with xfire on i get the error, if go in a game with it off i don't get any errors at all.
Thanks Klutch_Jr -
i think this was intentional on z8's part
I doubt it has anything to "low spec PC's"
i5 2500K @ 4.4 Ghz
GTX 460
Kingston Hyper X SSD 120 GB
8 Gig Ram @ 1600
not great, but better than average..
I wonder how many of you submitted hacking reports lately? or even a complaint?
certainly it is on Z8's end, as in most cases.... there was no major patch, so how the hell does only happen to select few?
at any rate, i hope someone is working to correct the issue
