Acoustic Guitars

I want to learn how to play an acoustic guitar and I am wondering which kind of acoustic would suit me best?

Steel String? Nylon String? Cut-away yes or no?

Go with a steel string unless your trying to learn classical music. I would start with a decent cheap guitar like this one then get a better one if you stick with it.

Sort of off topic, but related... if you like acoustic guitar I'd suggest listening to some Days of the New. Good acoustic guitar in their songs. Especially The Down Town and the solo on Touch, Peel and Stand.

singlecuts look much better imo and allow you to reach the higher frets more easily (especially nice on an acoustic)

the type of guitar you want depends on your budget / your level of interest in guitar / etc. i recommend going to your local music store and looking at their selection and playing a few guitars to see what you like.

also used music stores are nice to look at.
