Which SMG should my friend get ?

He has :
M4A1
AWM
USP

And he doesn't want an M12s, what should he get to finish the scout badges ?

GP perm MP5 is the obvious choice.

If you have resources, go for Thompson, Kriss LM, or any temp one.

Scout badges also take shotguns. Take any shot gun into Egypt or a small TDM and get easy kills. Pistol matches could also suffice, but your friend needs at least a reg deagle.

If he wants to finish the scout badge, he could also get a shotgun. Xm1014 or the dual desperados are the best ones.

I did my scout badge with Pistol Kills (A1).
Pistols count for Scout and Assassin badge.

For a SMG I'd get the MP5.
On the high end for damage for a SMG with wallbang as well.

K1A is a very good SMG in close. It's a highly underrated gun in CF and it's power underestimated.

Play Zm until he gets 2 silver crates and hopefully he gets a micro gali scope for 7 days and he even dint waste any Gp ^^ Free stuff :P

My suggestion would be your friend tries out a few different SMGs on various EM maps that have gun drops. That way he can get a feel for most of them, and make up his own mind. However, like various people have pointed out already, the MP5 is a good choice if you want a good SMG, but want to stay clear of the M12s.

MP5 or K1A.

MP5 has a fast reload and a decent spray pattern.

K1A can be used for burst firing but the reload is a little sluggish. K1A to me is easier to get headshots with since the recoil is lower. The power between MP5 and K1A are close if not the same, they just have a different spray pattern.
