M14EBR Nerfed?

I noticed after the patch, the gun seems to be nerfed. The spray pattern was a T. Now its a backwards 7. I used to have 3 shot kill and rarely a 99HP Damage. Now I am having multiple 98HP and 99HP damage and need a 4th shot. Have you noticed this?

Mine seems the same as ever. Maybe the people you're doing 99 dmg to are wearing armor. As for the spray pattern being different I doubt that it's been changed. I do find when I don't use my m14 for a while I get rusty with it. After a couple matches I've got the technique down again.

Welcome to crossfire. Where one day a gun is good, next day it's nerfed like hell. Take the Desert Eagle for example. Use to be always a 2 shot kill. Now, it's mostly 3 shots to the chest.

No weapons have been nerfed privately since either early 2010 or before that.

If they nerf a weapon, it will be in the patch logs; I was told that by Saidin.

Anything else is untrue.

Assuming he's told about it.
Wouldn't be the first time they didn't tell Saidin about adding/taking away stuff.

He told me the only time Smilegate didn't tell G4Box about a change in a weapon was early 2010 or 2009. It's possible they could do it again, but not likely.

M14 would pretty often do 99 damage for me, nothing new there.

M14 is like it always was for me, it never does 99 damage o.O It does more than 33 damage per shot to the body, so it is a 3 hit shot. But the M14 fires more bullets anyway so fast.. you wouldn't even notice (at least me)

They been doing that since then, it's not top priority as they are fixes or balancing and usually get ignored. It's like all the minor features that we get, including files of items and sometimes maps that will not be out until next patch. Maybe you should ask Saidin again to start posting that too in the patch notes.

I have not noticed anything different with my M14, but I have noticed alot more people are using armour so that may be the main difference for why you are not killing people as easily.

Chest shots do less damage than stomach shots.

Both of these are correct. Whether or not a change is intentional or otherwise, we should be informing you guys of any change. The only way this would occur is if we didn't know about it and then we'd have to determine whether it's design or bug or whatever the case may be. But we strive to eliminate this possibility at all stages.

99.9% of the time though, a statement about a change in a gun power/balance/etc is simply not true. In this specific one, there was no change made to the M14 EBR.

With regards to Pollo's statement about adding files or whatever the case may be. An image picture for a weapon located in another version does not mean it is going to come to our version or be released with whatever current patch we are releasing.

It is not our goal to keep secret information from you guys, but we also don't need to release the exact file contents of a specific patch especially if it has to do with content not in our version.
