Launch problem

When I launch cf, the patcher loads well, then the "x-trap" and "HGW game watcher" load alright but then the game won't launch, it just dies and goes back to desktop. When I first opened the patcher, i had an error saying that the patcher can't patch files, but it was fine after 2nd or 3rd launch. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but maybe.

I have played CrossFire before so my pc does have the requirements.
I would really appreciate a help.

Almost same with my issue for 1month ,and no help here !! it didn't reach to the xtrap one and then get back to desktop.

You may try this (it not work for me,some other guy tell me this):
1.Change to safe mode with network connection
2.Re-install your crossfire
3.And turn back to normal mode and see if it work.

I'll try it and let you know how it went. Thank you for at least that much.

EDIT: Nothing. I also tried to install it with my antivirus off but didn't work as well.

If you installed IE8 recently: REMOVE IT.

It is known that IE8 can(and in most cases: will) cause CF problems.

In example, I installed two days ago IE8 by Automatic Update and immediately it was impossible to play CF.
Crossfire.exe just dies after few seconds after showing up in Windows Manager.

I don't have IE8 and never had one. I've got XP 32-bit btw.

Well ,actually i played crossfire with Internet Explorer 9 installed at all the times. But now crossfire not run , so i guess IE is not the problem for this.
Edit : i just uninstall my IE9 , and it not work .( APPRECIATE your help !)

Have this problem emerged after last patch?
Have you tried redownloading and then reinstalling CF?

PS. I know only IE 8 caused problems, if you don't have it don't bother messing(i.e. uninstalling) with other IE versions.

PS2. I also have XP 32.

PS3. I have proposed this solution, beacause everytime I have installed IE8, I was unable to play CF

I believe there is something with the current patch. I'll just wait for another update.

1. If the game became corrupted there is 90% it'll stay that way.
2. You don't know when that patch will arrive.

I did it plenty of times on plenty of ways. I can't find an answer to this and I see many ppl have the same problem so not much more I can do.

I got my problem 2 patches passed,maybe 3 .Now i still waiting for some more help.

1. 2or 3 patches passed.
2.Yes i did. Several times!
I had IE8 built in at the first time i got this laptop, and it work perfectly with crossfire.Then i updated IE9 ,crossfire still work .But 4 ,5 months later ,this problem start to happen.
