Failed to download patch files CrossFire

I installed the game and I click start, but what happens is that in middle of the update I get an error "Failed to download patch files" and it crashes. Any help?

Try doing this method, go to C:/Program Files (86x)/Z8Games/CrossFire and run something called, patcher_cf.exe. Let me know in this thread if this method worked or not.

Nope it did not solve the matter ! I have even tried reinstalling the game ! I cleared the backups but it still doesnot install!

The Patcher version 5 has some serious issues !
