Unable to download patch file.

I just uninstalled and re installed the game. I start up the application and the patch downloader comes up and downloads a little bit and then says its unable to download the patch file.

I'd really like to play crossfire because I haven't logged on more than twice in a whole year. It's really hard to believe at this stage of the game that there is still problems that aren't being fixed.
