Racism

Agreed 100%. Some get so mad over a variety of things in this game that they resort to taking it such a childish level over a game. Cant imagine they would actually say most of what they do in real life. Penelties should be more harsh then a simple week ban for harrassment.

Is it racial in nature that the thread is directed to foreigners?
Or would that be bias?
Does bias lead to racism? Yes.
It's not directed to foreigners I just wanted to clear up that this is a type of racism towards not foreigners, but an entire race which is just as bad, if not worse because it's not just towards a country it's towards an entire race. I also understand some countries may include that race but that's besides the point. -
Online gaming breeds hatred.
No,childish idiots breed stupidity. Some think the game is their life and cant control themselves when the game sint going their way. So they resort to whatever they think will offend the person or group their anger is directed at. Such people,be it child or adult, really should consider taking some time off the game until they realize its not real life. -

I will, but using bad words is different from racial slurs.Plus, no one is being seriously offended by my choice of words. -
Xenophobia has existed since primitive times and is unlikely to change in society as whole, let alone on Crossfire. Of course one would like to see such social barriers knocked down but realistically the human race is moving at a snail's pace. Sorry for becoming philosophical, I just wanted to get my view across on this matter.
I haven't seen racial hatred towards others based on the colour of their skin, which doesn't make much sense since you can't tell, on Crossfire but obviously discrimination towards players from Brazil and other countries is an issue too huge to be ignored. I've actually seen people develop nationalist/racist views towards others all because of a video game - it's something which is frankly quite disturbing and makes my stomach turn. -

What Im saying is dont break one rule to complain about some others that are breaking rules. Theres no need for it.
OT, theres a lot of heat being built up in game because of pings. So some players complain about pings, other regions complain about our pings. It escalates into hating whole countries and races.
Racism that is based on race itself is just plain stupid. Ignore them and report. -

Ban all Americans and germans
All Americans includes both North Americans and South Americans :P.
And banning all NA from a NA/UK hosted game is idiotic.
Also the Germans are no longer able to make accounts in this version since CF EU was released, so they are pretty much banned already. -

I always get racist remarks on crossfire because my ign is Pennylover. Its just the way children are. Will reporting them get them banned? Because there are always people calling me stupid jew and that type of crap when i kill them

It's quite an unfortunate Jewish Stereotype if you ask me. For some odd reason there's a lot of racists in CrossFire, but there's likely more if you go to the COD community.
Even if you report them, there's always going to be more racists on the internet, because some people don't know what to say when they're being competitive and playing against players they don't know about (whether it'd be their background or who they are). Reporting them however, is better because it just gets rid of that person for the allotted time to show what it's like for being a ______. (You know.) -
Is Racism really a bad thing?
I think every human has the right to like or dislike other people. It is bad when you attack them or hurt them but other then I think it is not bad to hate people from a country or race.
It is bad when you go out an kill Muslims because you hate all of them, but it is not bad if you just hate all of them but keep it to yourself.
Some nations do a lot of weird things and I just don't like them for doing so. -
No wait... what?
Am I?
It's posted on the internet, hence it must be true.
Sorry guys, but really this discussion is going nowhere. Nobody is adding anything except to get the talk in circles.
Bottom line, racists are prevalent, biased people are prevalent.
And most of all, little kids who have no understanding of global issues or with utter ignorance of the outside world lead to creating assumptions about others.
Putting that in a CF perspective, WE the people of NA/UK complain of people's pings ingame when they play "outside" of the NA/UK areas, as well as THEY complain of OUR ping when they're facing us, most of the time due to a failure to recognize their own distance is limiting their own entertainment.
(inb4sexualjoke)
Anyways, Ping leads to racism. Ping leads to hate. Ping leads to the dark side.
K enough idiocy, time to close this up.
