The bad thing is, axe isn´t perm anymore. But the best way to learn and play GM/knife matches.

actually the on melee you need skill is knife and katana

Kukri is OP. Shovel and Kukri Both lag a lot. Never tried the machete.

Kris is awesome but I haven't used it up to its full potential due to my 240+ ping.

in my opinion, crossfire was right to put the kukri. The kris's slash is just to damn overpowering and you need the kukri's massive range to fight that. Whenever i use a axe i struggle against kriss users, but when i use a kukri, i just cut right past them!

To the ghost mode question, i think the kukri or shovel are the best, sense both have a fast right click and it is a 1 shot kill anywhere in the body(axe is not) plus the shovel and kukris right click cover a LOT of space, slashing horizontally while with the kris you have to pinpoint it's location.
