you need to graduate college/university prior to attending medical school or at least that's how it is in the U.S. -
you idiot, you have to get into a university, study for at least 2 years (full time summer included) to get the required classes, than finally you can attempt to get into med school, usually they look for people with high marks and they will test you. THAN, there is most likely a wait list...clearly you don't have a clue about it...

and that has what to do with what i said? i proved you were a complete moron because you thought there was something before you enter university (college) which there isn't. right after 12th grade you can apply to a university (depending on your hsc atar) and enter the field you choose.

the system is not the same in another country but it's approximately the same. different exams... but you still need to go through college to apply to med school. you might be thinking of pre-med courses in college but you're not getting into medical school once you get into a university... all of that is 8 years and after that you'll have residency for another 4 years and if you want to be a specialist you'll probably have to take another 4-7 years which is why i didn't want to become a physician; too much schooling but my father did go through it both in russia and in the U.S.

there is no "college", there are just universities.. and yeah i'm doing a pre-med course in uni which leads to my mbbs. -

in the U.S. a university is considered just a bunch of colleges packed together. like i attend st.john's university but i'm enrolled in the college of pharmacy -

i wouldn't have a clue on how the u.s. system works, but in australia the uni i'm attending doesn't have different colleges for different fields as far as i'm aware. -

well just letting you know college/university is considered the same thing in the U.S. you said you get your bachelors in medical school in a post which is incorrect regardless of what country you live in. you have to go through university first, then medical school, and finally residency in order to get a license. So it's like 11-12 years minimum but you make some money in residency... you're just going to be supervised by a licensed doctor -
Slaya is right: in the commonwealth countries(and indeed most countries), there is no medical school ; in its stead is a bachelor's degree in medicine that takes 4+ years.
there is medical school everywhere... lol
