First of all, you should disable your antivirus , so that everything goes well

"turn off any anti-virus program that is running in the background"

Download File:

Download files

proof that's not virus:

Virus Total

Virus Scan

Folder Contains:

version.ini
version.dat
CShell.dll
1D (backup)

Procedures:

Right-click at "RAR" and extract here

"Backup" copy and paste into your game folder on backup and replace it

Example:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Z8Games \ CrossFire \ backup

File "CShell.dll" copy and paste into your game folder and replace

Example:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Z8Games \ CrossFire

File "and Version.dat version.ini" copy and paste into your game folder and replace

Example:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Z8Games \ CrossFire

Or you could simply go to Program files > z8games > crossfire and scroll down to the version, open it up with notepad and change LatestVersion to 1097.

For a CShell error?

This Does NOT work.. beware

before i tried this, i only got a cshell error, now after following these steps a new error say invalid game client, please re install...lol

Your files are corrupted... this method isnt ideal as chances are it wont work...

For an error with corrupted files, like this one, it is much simpler to just reinstall the client.

Fail again bro, i did re-install, it updated and i get the same cshell.dll error.. yes i know how to uninstall ALL the cf files, this is not a issue on my end, yes the game works for most people, but there are a few that has the same issues after a update.

Did you disable your antivirus completely?
