I think he means like XBL style or Counterstrike style where you can tell your teammates things without personally knowing them and getting a separate voice communication software to communicate with them.

I've tried TF2 and the first match I was in, I heard people screaming and music blasting. I had to mute 5 people. =.=
Besides if you wanted to talk to people, you would probably be using Vent, TS3, Raidcall, Mumble. You can even use XFire, which you can download/install along with Crossfire when you run the startup.exe.

Besides, if there was a microphone function added, all you would hear are people yelling/complaining about obvious things, people yelling in different languages or people putting on music and letting other people go deaf because of it.

i already see QQ, i don't wanna hear QQ.

plus many of the CF players out there are "foreign" so there's going to be a language barrier and lots of profanity being said.

I suggested that a couple of times before. Too bad people don't like the idea for some reason. Talking would get people closer which leads to a better community, but hey.

I mean there's mute button for that... if cost wasn't there they could just implement like cs style.(not XBL style since that's cross voice chat which cost even more) you don't even need 'mute vote' you just mute whoever you want for whatever reason

you wouldnt be able to hear anything like others said music or QQing.
also there are alot of people on CF that dont understand english if you play pub.
but yes there is a 'mute button' but hey you think i gonna go mute people half of the time because they dont shut up with the QQing or music.
all you would hear is 'oh he hack' 'noob' and many others.

is any community of a game good enough? i dont think so. most games i played with a voice chat there is yelling,QQing,music or no one use it.

Would cause stress on the servers and would be very costly.

Besides, this game is all about pick me up rooms with fast paced action with very little teamwork involved. This makes voice communication rather irrelevant.

Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Mumble, skype and xfire are commonly used and work...along with others...
